   The Trade Union structure and membership

Narva Metal-workers' Trade Union is a voluntary non-profit union of employees of machine building, radio-electronic, radio engineering, shipbuilding industries as well as employees of other industries. The members of Narva Metal-worker's Trade Union are mainly employees of AS Balti ES, as well as employees of OÜ TES PLUS, OÜ Rivaleks, AS RD Elektronik and veterans of Baltiets factory.



   The main directions of activities:
  1. Protection of the members' interests, first of all in respect of labour and salaries/wages.
  2. Representation and protection of rights of the Trade Union members when solving labour disputes.
  3. Conclusion of labour contracts with the employer.
  4. Organization of free time of the Trade Union members
  5. Education of the Trade Union members for obtaining of knowledge necessary for the Trade Union activities.
  6. Establishment of funds.

   History

Narva Metal-workers' Union is a successor of Trade Union committee nr. 114. Date of foundation of the Trade Union is considered to be April 23, 1957.
From February 5, 1992 the Trade Union became a part of Estonian Republic Confederacy of Trade Unions of Employees of Radio Engineering Industry.
From January 1, 1999 Estonian Republic Confederacy of Trade Unions of Employees of Radio Engineering Industry was renamed into Confederacy of the Metal-workers' Trade Unions of Estonia.
From January 19, 2001 Narva Metal-workers' Trade Union was entered into the Register of Trade Unions.
